GEN opened its doors in Montreal, Canada in 2003. Our original mandate was to place students from all over the globe in educational institutions outside of their home countries. To that end, GEN grew into a sizeable network with associates and partner schools around the world.
In keeping with the founder's experience in the Hospitality and Tourism industry, GEN evolved to specialise in this field, and eventually moved its offices back to his native Nepal. We still maintain many of the partnerships and associations which were established over the years, and rely on these relationships to help us match students and workers with opportunities abroad. In addition to our placement services, GEN operates the Global Academy of Hospitality and Tourism Education (GATE) in Kathmandu under the auspices of the renowned Swiss School of Tourism & Hospitality Management (SSTH) - Switzerland.
