The Global Education Network (GEN) is a Kathmandu-based organisation offering international hospitality internships, training, short-term placements and educational opportunities to Nepalese people. Our services are focussed in two main areas. First, GEN provides assistance to eligible students wishing to study in the Hospitality and Tourism industry abroad. We have established partnerships with several colleges in Switzerland and Canada and will continue to forge new alliances in order to provide a variety of options to our clients. We offer the students a full range of services including visa applications, a check-list of prerequisites, assistance in the preparation of college applications and cultural awareness training.
Our second area of expertise is the placement of Nepalese hospitality workers in jobs and training opportunities located in foreign countries. Our strength lies in the Hospitality and Tourism industry, where we are affiliated with a large network of employers around the globe. We place both students seeking internships as well as recent graduates and other hospitality workers looking for temporary placement overseas. In addition, we currently offer limited placement services to other industries through our government-licensed sister company who is legally authorised to manage work placements abroad. We plan to expand our horizons in this area over time. As with our services for students, GEN provides a full-service offering to workers seeking employment abroad. This includes soliciting jobs and sponsorship from foreign employers, preparing visa applications and providing cultural awareness training.
GEN is committed to providing professional assistance to Nepalese pursuing their careers in Hospitality and Tourism. It is our belief that exposure to different systems, practices and cultures is essential to their development and success in this field. We are proud to be able to contribute to their achievements.
